Living in NYC in 2000 was new and exciting for me, but the action of the city became overwhelming for a guy who had lived so many years in the country. I decided to try and find a small weekend get-a-way in Upstate NY.
Rhinebeck is a little sophisticated town nestled in the Hudson Valley of Dutchess County, NY, with majestic views of the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River.
I found a beautiful little property on a small lake… originally serving as the lodge for this fishing lake.
Again, I totally gutted the house and – using every possible inch – redesigned the 1700-square-feet of the interior, while also contouring and landscaping the exterior.
